A house in a forest by a lake

In Riddarebo, just west of Borås, there is a house in a forest by a lake. The owners wanted a small, open-plan house, finally opting for a prefabricated house from A-hus.

The house was customised based on owners’ wishes – among other things, a patio was added, the ceiling height was raised to 2.70 m and the windows were enlarged to let in as much light as possible. The owners wanted the colour and surface of the house to keep a low profile, and found the perfect solution in Pine Tar Vitriol. The panelling on the house is not treated with primer, just painted with Pine Tar Vitriol, which has given them a lovely grey colour.
