Pine tar
Green tarred house in Saltsjöbaden
The house is beautifully situated on Älgö in Saltsjöbaden just a few hundred meters from the sea. Älgö is a small island that is connected to the mainland by a bridge, previously the area was a summer cottage area but in recent years has been transformed into year-round housing.
– We had some options to choose from when we were going to paint the house, but when Green Pine Tar showed up we were immediately delighted. It fit so well with our wooden windows and in a forest environment as our plot is a bit of a natural plot.
Christer further says that the whole house was painted in about two days with two coats of 4 people.
– Many people think that the house is absolutely fantastic, and of course it stands out because the color is strong both in sunlight and in cloudy weather. We have received many comments that it is nice and have also had visits from some architects who have wanted to look at the color.
What are you most happy with?
That the pine tar provides good protection but also that you still see the grain of the wood very clearly, it also smells so good when you paint.
What three arguments would you say to someone else who is considering painting with Green Pine Tar?
- It is a natural product, it feels much fresher than a plastic paint / chemical concoction
- It has a huge luster that is lacking in traditional color
- It looks alive in the facade, you can clearly see the wood fibers and the grain in the wood and that it is slightly varied, a little difficult to explain without seeing it.
