New sea rescue station in Fjällbacka

The sea rescue station in Fjällbacka was founded in 1969 and has today 25 volunteer sea rescuers and 3 boats. During one year, the volunteer lifeguards at RS Fjällbacka performed about 200 assignments.

After 50 years of service, the station in Fjällbacka in Bohuslän needed to get new premises and a completely new, larger station building was built on two levels in Fjällbacka harbor, which was painted with Red Pine Tar.

The new station building will give access to training facilities, storage of equipment, hygiene space, rest rooms and opportunities for socializing. Behind the investment are many donations and gifts.
