Pine tar
The Spear in Huddinge Forest
The long, narrow, gray house is beautifully situated with the forest right next to it. On the mountain site, there is pine, spruce, as well as the odd deciduous tree. The house was designed by the renowned architects Jonas Bohlin and Hans Murman. Carpenter, Rasmus Larsson, age 26, started building his 21 meters long and 5 meters wide dream house, in his spare time, beginning in 2019. The choice of Pine Tar Vitriol for the 200 sqm large house was a given.
– It is a nice color, it picks up the shades in the rock as well as in the trunks of the pine trees, and it’s also a natural and easy-to-work-with material, says Rasmus.
Rasmus goes on to say that they discovered that there were more colors of Auson’s tar colors to choose from when they painted a construction shed with Black Pine Tar, with which they were very pleased.
Pine Tar Vitriol was purchased, and they painted a piece of wood and left it outside while the frame of the house was built to see how it developed. The result was that the whole house ended up painted with Pine Tar Vitriol. The house was painted in 2 coats over 3 weekends.
What are you the most happy with?
– The appearance and color of the house and the location. I have only received positive comments about the color and that it blends in so well with nature.
What three arguments would you give to someone else who is considering painting with Vitriol Pine Tar?
– It is a nice color, pine tar is a natural raw material and it is easy to work with.
